Yamazaki Mazak Museum of Machine Tools

About the Yamazaki Mazak Museum of Machine Tools

Machine tools are called “Mother Machines", because they are involved in the manufacture of all the products around us, and they take a very important role in supporting "manufacturing around the world." However, their existence and uses are not commonly known to the general public, because machine tools are mainly used as production equipment in factories.
Since its founding in 1919, Yamazaki Mazak has been involved in the development of manufacturing around the world through machine tools. To celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2019, this museum are opened specializing in machine tools, that may seem rare to the world, to spread the awareness of the existence of machine tools which support our society more widely and to increase people’s interest in manufacturing.
